Duties HR Content Developer (Remote – Freelance, Part-Time) Location: Remote (Canada) Hours: Approximately 10-25 hours per week Position Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor About HR Proactive Inc.

We develop professional HR resources, training programs, eLearning courses, policies, manuals, toolkits, forms, templates, and PowerPoint presentations used by organizations across Canada.

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented HR Content Developer to join our remote team and assist with the development of premium-quality HR, Health & Safety, and Workplace Training resources.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys researching complex topics, writing clear and engaging content, and producing polished, publication-quality documents.

Key Responsibilities Research HR, workplace training, employment law, human rights, workplace investigations, and occupational health and safety topics Develop HR and Health & Safety toolkits, guides, manuals, templates, forms, checklists, and workplace resources Create and format professional Microsoft Word documents to publication standards Design professional PowerPoint presentations and training materials Write eLearning content, case studies, workplace scenarios, knowledge checks, and learner activities Edit, proofread, and quality-check content for accuracy, consistency, grammar, formatting, and style Follow established style guides and branding standards Ensure all materials are clear, accurate, practical, and professionally presented QualificationsRequired Exceptional written communication skills Strong research and analytical abilities Advanced Microsoft Word skills Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills Outstanding attention to detail Strong editing and proofreading skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Experience creating professional business documents and training materials Preferred Background in Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, Adult Education, Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or a related field Experience developing workplace training materials Experience writing policies, procedures, manuals, guides, or toolkits Experience creating eLearning content HR or Health & Safety designation considered an asset What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Notices formatting inconsistencies immediately Has a passion for research and content development Can transform complex information into clear, engaging, plain-language content Takes pride in producing polished, publication-ready materials Has a strong eye for detail and quality Is comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions Works efficiently while maintaining a high standard of accuracy Compensation Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
