They are seeking a hands-on QA Automation Engineer to join their Kitchen Display System (KDS) team, where the role involves owning and extending automated test coverage for a critical platform used in restaurant operations.

Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and expand automated test coverage for the Kitchen Display System (KDS) platformDesign and execute automated UI, API, regression, and smoke testsBuild scalable, maintainable automation solutions using established framework patterns and best practicesPartner closely with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycleInvestigate defects, troubleshoot test failures, and identify quality risks early in the development processMaintain and improve automated test execution within CI/CD pipelinesParticipate in sprint planning, test strategy discussions, and release validation activitiesLeverage AI-assisted tools and workflows to improve test design, automation development, code reviews, troubleshooting, and engineering productivityContribute to the continuous improvement of quality engineering standards, automation practices, and testing processes Skills 4+ years of hands-on QA Automation, SDET, or Quality Engineering experienceStrong programming skills in Java and a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principlesExperience building and maintaining UI automation frameworks using Appium, Selenium, Playwright, or similar technologiesExperience designing and implementing scalable automated test solutionsExperience testing REST APIs and working with JSON payloadsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test executionExperience with Maven, Git, and modern software development workflowsStrong troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis skillsAbility to quickly understand and contribute to large, existing codebasesExperience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, test generation, documentation, or code reviewExcellent communication and collaboration skillsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsExperience with restaurant technology, POS systems, Kitchen Display Systems (KDS), or other transactional business applicationsExperience with KotlinExperience testing desktop or Electron-based applicationsExperience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD platformsFamiliarity with Docker and containerized testing environmentsExperience with distributed test execution environmentsExperience with performance, reliability, or latency-sensitive testingExperience with modern AI-assisted engineering workflows and agentic development tools Company Overview Celara bridges the gap for companies looking to integrate AI into their operations.
