This is a fully remote role and can be based anywhere in the United States. The Sr. Support Engineer will report directly to the Regional Manager, SAP Delivery. Position Summary The role of the Sr.

Support Engineer, SAP FI/CO is to provide exceptional remote-based support for mission-critical SAP applications as part of our global customer support team.

The position has the responsibility for researching, troubleshooting and support for our global clients who use Finance and Controlling (FICO), Treasury and Risk Management (TRM), and Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM).

The role of the SAP Engineer requires functional and technical experience, integration knowledge, implementation and support expertise and skills to diagnose issues, including ABAP debug; then develop, test, package and deliver fixes for such issues in complex, integrated and highly configured environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Solve complex customer issues using methodical troubleshooting based on expert knowledge of SAP applications functionality and technologyWork closely with customers daily to understand their needs, support business change and deliver a consistently high-quality customer experienceProvide functional support & training for multiple SAP FI/CO modulesSupport client customizations, sharing implementation and best practices adviceDevelop application break fixes for critical product defectsCreate scripts to identify, analyze and correct data issuesManage one or more key assigned accounts as a technical/functional advisorProvide hands-on assistance using proprietary tools in a test environment or via remote client connectivityBe a pro-active contributor to a support organization which is running 24x7x365, this will require the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays and monitoring email regularly outside standard business hoursCollaborate with team members in a virtual team environment to extend field experience to different client situationsContribute to the development and management of knowledge-sharing methodologies, diagnostic tools, and creative processes, to improve the client experience Experience 10+ years relevant SAP experience particularly with all aspects of SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO).

Treasury and Risk Management (TRM), Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) and Asset Management skills would be welcome.International experience will be desirable with country specific FICO knowledge in other regions. 5+ years direct support of application end-users in a corporate environmentA track record of successful roles in several SAP implementation or upgrade projectsDeep working knowledge and understanding of supporting business processesDemonstrable history solving complex problems across multiple modules, ideally in a support environment.

Skills Knowledge of related to US and Canadian localization tax and regulatory requirements, e.g., 1099s, etc.

Localization architecture, implementation, and key functionalityExpertise with SAP 4.x and ECC, including full life-cycle implementation experience, configuration, and administration of the application.Project Systems, Profitability Analysis, RAR, and Group Reporting skills are highly desirable.Knowledge of maintenance/patching mechanics and SAP architecture.Superb technical trouble-shooting skills ability to debug code and the tenacity for complex problem solvingPassionate focus on customer support and the ability to build long term, successful working relationships with clientsStrong knowledge of key application functionality, tables, and relationshipsDeep knowledge of SAP customization/extension methodologiesExcellent development skills using SAP toolsetExcellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills – verbal & writtenAnalytical, logical problem resolution skillsFluency in both English (reading/writing/verbal) is requiredAttention to detail and the ability to learn quicklyExtreme focus on client satisfactionDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to work calmly and professionally in high pressure situations Preferred Qualifications The well qualified candidate will have at least 5 years “hands on” implementation experience with at least two full life cycle implementations.

The best candidates will have extensive knowledge of multiple SAP modules across releases (4.x & ECC) including proficiency with SAP product module/suite business processes, navigation mechanics, configuration requirements, integration with other modules and knowledge of underlying technologySAP certification(s) preferredKnowledge of any Country Specific Solutions would be an advantageA consulting background, while not mandatory, would be usefulExperience with localization and global implementations would be an advantage Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
