SC Cleared Security Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements

• We require active SC clearance.
• We require proven experience in security engineering.
• We require proficiency in F5, BIG-IP, virtual servers, load balancing concepts, and SSL offloading.
• We require hands-on experience with firewall technologies, particularly Check Point and Cisco ASA, including policy management, NAT, and troubleshooting.
• We require strong ability to perform network maintenance and handle security configurations.

Responsibilities

• We provide technical support for network security infrastructure.
• We monitor network performance to ensure system availability and reliability.
• We troubleshoot complex networking issues involving multiple systems and layers of infrastructure.
• We perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, and security configurations.
• We participate in planning, design, and implementation of network security measures to protect systems and data.
• We conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
• We collaborate with IT teams to integrate security protocols into network architecture and operations.
• We deploy and maintain network security devices such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
• We respond to and recover from security incidents, including conducting post-event analyses to prevent future incidents.
• We stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends, as well as advancements in network security technologies.
