Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements

  • We require strong commercial experience developing cross-platform applications in QML and Qt.
  • We require a solid background in building modern Qt-based graphical user interfaces.
  • We require advanced C++ programming skills, including modern C++ standards and best practices.
  • We require the ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions.
  • We require a good understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
  • We require experience with version control systems, code reviews, and integration tools.
  • We require excellent communication skills.
  • We prefer experience with Agile methodologies and proof of concept development.
  • We prefer experience contributing to open-source projects.
  • We prefer experience with 3D graphics or rendering technologies.
  • We prefer a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or similar work-based experience.
  • We prefer proven experience as a Software Engineer, ideally with a focus on healthcare-related projects.
  • We prefer very good working knowledge of standard software development frameworks, techniques, and methodologies.
  • We prefer experience providing coaching and mentoring.
  • We prefer the ability to work collaboratively in a team and contribute to the development of business scenarios.
  • We prefer knowledge of software development tools and technologies.
  • We prefer a flexible and curious approach.
  • We prefer strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • We will have you join our international HMI-focused engineering team to contribute to innovative embedded HMI projects.
  • We will have you develop modern, visually advanced human-machine interfaces for embedded devices across multiple industries.
  • We will have you rewrite the UI in Qt Widgets based on a new GUI designed in Figma.
  • We will have you help make the application easier to debug.
  • We will have you support the migration to a QML-based implementation.
  • We will have you build high-quality user experiences for embedded systems.
  • We will have you operate in a fast-moving, international engineering environment.
  • We will have you contribute technical solutions independently and take ownership of your work.
  • We will have you collaborate with the team on code reviews, integration, and delivery activities.

We are recruiting a Senior QML/Qt Developer for a 2-month fixed term contract, with a possible extension, working in a hybrid pattern of up to 2 days a week in a local office and standard Monday to Friday, 9-5 hours. Our team is focused on developing innovative embedded HMI solutions, and you will join an international engineering environment where we value high-quality user experiences, strong technical ownership, and collaborative delivery. We offer the opportunity to work on modern Qt-based interfaces, Figma-driven UI redesigns, and QML migration work across a range of embedded applications.
