Requirements

• Active SC Clearance is essential
• Expert knowledge of DNS protocols, including recursion, caching, TCP/UDP, and zone transfers
• Strong experience with DNS platforms such as BIND, Windows DNS, Infoblox, and cloud DNS services
• Knowledge of DNS security, including DNSSEC and DDoS mitigation techniques
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, and load balancing
• Experience with automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, and Bash
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM, and CloudFormation
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
• High attention to detail and ability to work across technical teams

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable DNS architectures across enterprise and cloud platforms
• Manage and optimise DNS platforms, including BIND, Microsoft DNS, Infoblox, AWS Route 53, and Azure DNS
• Lead DNS strategy focused on scalability, high availability, and performance optimisation
• Oversee DNS migrations, upgrades, and transformations
• Implement and maintain DNS security measures, including DNSSEC, DDoS protection, and threat mitigation
• Monitor performance and availability, and ensure robust incident response processes
• Act as the escalation point for complex DNS and network issues and lead root cause analysis
• Drive automation using scripting and Infrastructure as Code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and best practices
