Remote Senior Backend Engineer

Salary: £53,000 - 93,000 per year

Requirements

• We want interest in distributed systems and writing resilient software.
• We value some experience with strongly typed languages such as Go, Java, C, or Scala.
• We do not require formal qualifications or a degree for this role.

Responsibilities

• Work with our team to make a difference to our customers.
• Build and support a specific part of our banking platform as a backend engineer.
• Collaborate in a squad with product managers, marketers, user researchers, designers, mobile engineers, web engineers, data analysts, business analysts, writers, and others.
• Contribute to one of our wider collectives across areas such as Core Banking, Business Banking, Wealth, Borrowing, Growth, Payments, Platform, Fincrime, Security, or Expansion.
• Work on technically varied systems and services, including application code, storage, messaging, infrastructure, and internal tools.
• Take part in our interview process, including an initial call, a take-home task or pair coding exercise, and a final interview with system design and behavioural interviews.
