Salary: £98,940 - 98,940 per year

Requirements

• Active SC Security Clearance is essential.
• Strong hands-on experience with F5, Zscaler, and Palo Alto security technologies, including firewalls and network security.
• Experience with technical ownership of customer security infrastructure, processes, procedures, documentation, and lifecycle management.
• Experience acting as a technical point of contact and escalation point for security-related changes, modifications, and projects.
• Experience providing technical support, change management, and customer inventory management for hardware, software, and end-of-life activities.
• Experience acting as a technical point of contact for vendor support on security infrastructure incidents.
• Experience supporting network design, including High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD).
• Advantageous experience with Check Point, Juniper, Blue Coat, Cisco network solutions, Cisco IPT, QoS, 802.1x, Infoblox DNS, switches, wireless, VPN, IPsec, SSL VPN, DMVPN, and WAN routing protocols.
• Telecoms industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• We will support a leading telecoms end client through a global IT consultancy.
• We will manage customer security infrastructure, including processes, procedures, documentation, and lifecycle management.
• We will act as the technical point of contact and escalation point for security-related changes, modifications, and projects for firewall rule bases.
• We will provide technical support and change management for hard physical changes and soft remote changes.
• We will manage customer inventory, including hardware, software, and end-of-life items.
• We will serve as the technical point of contact for vendor support on security infrastructure incidents.
• We will design customer networks and support High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) activities.

We are offering a 6-month contract for a Network Security Engineer role working UK remote with occasional travel to customer sites in Wokingham, Corsham, Farnborough, and Warwick. The role is outside IR35 with a day rate of £380 and is expected to start as soon as possible in July or August 2026. The vast majority of the work will be remote, and we are seeking someone to join a global IT consultancy supporting a leading telecoms end client.
