Salary: £100,000 - 150,000 per year

Requirements

• We need emotional intelligence and the ability to bring different personality types with you.
• We want experience leading remote or distributed engineering teams.
• We need clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in complex B2B software, regulated environments, workflow platforms, data-heavy products or mission-critical SaaS would be beneficial.
• We require candidates to be UK-based and comfortable travelling for periodic face-to-face senior leadership meetings.

Responsibilities

• We will ask you to lead and develop a distributed engineering team across software development, QA and systems engineering.
• You will own and shape the technology roadmap across platform, architecture, delivery, security and developer experience.
• You will improve engineering delivery, predictability, throughput and accountability.
• You will work closely with Product to translate product ambition into a clear technical roadmap.
• You will support pragmatic platform modernisation without unnecessary large-scale rebuilds.
• You will bring structure, clarity and pace to the engineering function.
• You will coach and mentor engineers and emerging technical leaders.
• You will drive the adoption of AI tooling and AI-enabled development practices.
• You will help define what an effective AI-led software development lifecycle should look like.
• You will represent Engineering credibly to senior stakeholders, customers and investors where required.
