Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year
Requirements
- 5 years product management experience in CCTV/video-surveillance or physical security devices, particularly radar-camera hybrids, perimeter sensors, or multi-technology detection systems.
- Proven end-to-end ownership of at least one camera, NVR, encoder, radar, or similar hardware product through the full lifecycle.
- Experience in perimeter intrusion detection, outdoor security, or critical infrastructure protection.
- Familiarity with working alongside integrators, distributors, and indirect sales channels.
- Deep knowledge of imaging sensors, video pipelines, RTSP/ONVIF.
- Understanding of radar detection principles, coverage patterns, and RF interference considerations.
- Exposure to edge AI frameworks and hardware accelerators.
- Strong understanding of BOM cost control, DFM, compliance (FCC/CE, international RF spectrum regulations), and supply-chain realities.
- Demonstrated PM skills in customer discovery, requirements, prioritization, prototyping, and launch.
- Clear and concise communicator able to bridge hardware, firmware, software, and commercial teams.
- Comfortable presenting at trade shows and conducting customer-facing validation interviews.
- Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or similar; MBA is a plus.
- Must be based in or around the UK (London preferred) or Germany (Frankfurt or Munich preferred).
Responsibilities
- Define vision, strategy, and roadmap for product(s) while owning positioning against competing radar-camera and AI camera solutions.
- Specify requirements for sensors, optics, radar modules, SoCs and thermal/EMC constraints to ensure hardware excellence.
- Guide integration of radar detection, encoded video pipelines, on-device AI classification, and fusion logic to enhance detection performance and reduce nuisance alarms.
- Lead market research, requirements gathering, competitive tear-downs, and business case development, including launches at key trade shows (GSX, ISC West).
- Write detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), user stories, and validation plans; manage priorities and trade-offs with R&D.
- Conduct field trials with integrators and end-users at critical infrastructure sites to gather feedback and iterate hardware/firmware revisions.
- Create and deliver datasheets, launch decks, battle cards, and demo kits to support Sales, Marketing, and distribution partners.
- Monitor performance metrics such as yield, MTBF, in-field returns, detection performance (PoD/NAR), and feature usage; provide insights for continuous improvement.
