Job Description
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Otto Aerospace is developing the world’s first fifth-generation business jet with a focus on sustainability through advanced aerodynamics and composite materials.
The Principal Technical Program Manager will oversee program management for Structures and Materials & Process Engineering, ensuring products are delivered on time and within budget while driving integration and development efforts.
Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and communicate the budget, schedule, and product development plans to all stakeholdersCollaborate with the Structures work package owners to define activities across all program phases: requirements & concept development, design, manufacturing, testing, qualification, certification, and transition to productionSupport Supply Chain with management of external suppliersProvide and maintain engineering inputs to the integrated master schedule to enable accurate program metrics and visibilityDefine goals, track deliverables, identify risk, and drive mitigation plans; establish effective execution rhythms and tools to ensure alignment and accountabilityAssess resource requirements and highlight gaps across various stages for all projectsCoordinate with other TPMs to prepare project reports, summarizing status, risks, mitigations, and opportunities for all levels of managementManage the project roadmap within the framework of the overall program strategy Skills Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering or other related fieldA minimum of eight (8) years in technical program/project management role, preferably in the aviation industryA minimum of ten (10) years of total experience (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)Structures engineering experience throughout the product lifecycle, including composite material system development and aerostructures certificationProject management experience in complex aircraft structures development through design, testing, and qualification phasesExperience with MS Project, Primavera, Jama, Jira and/or other project management toolsDemonstrated experience developing and implementing standard processesSolid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skillsAbility to work cross‐functionally, build relationships, and manage conflictExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProactive delivery of communication and follow upAbility to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraintsDemonstrated agility and autonomous decision-making within ambiguous situationsExperience with Dassault 3DX is preferred Benefits Competitive salariesSubsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) opportunitiesPaid short term disabilityVoluntary long-term disability and additional term life15 paid days off13 paid company holidaysPaid sick leavePotential bonuses and stock options Company Overview Otto is creating the future of sustainable air travel through paradigm-shifting design, performance and economics.
