Job Description
We are looking for an ETL Developer for a long term contract with our aerospace client.
In this role you will design, build, and maintain data pipelines by extracting, transforming, and loading complex data from engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain sources into data warehouses.
They ensure data accuracy for analysis, often utilizing SQL, Python, and tools like Informatica, PowerBI, and other production-level, high-reliability systems.
Key Responsibilities Data Pipeline Development: Create, automate, and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes to move data from various sources (e.g., PLM systems, databases, APIs) to data lakes or warehouses such as Databricks.Data Modeling & Transformation: Design source-to-target mappings, transform data into usable formats, and develop complex SQL queries and scripts.System Integration & Maintenance: Integrate data from different systems (finance, engineering, operations) and monitor data quality, ensuring consistency and accuracy.Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve data defects, performance issues, and bottlenecks in data workflows.Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, including data flow diagrams and data dictionary definitionsRequired MS SQL - relational databases, data types, functions, stored procedures, sql agentSSIS - visual studio, etl experience, sequencing, error handling, tokenizationDatabricks experienceTroubleshooting / googling to solve problems Optional tools/experience GithubDynamicsJiraDatabricksAzure stackZeta CloudAerospace / complex business process backgroundAbility to track solution end to end (ie: dynamics, databricks, pbi)
