Remote Rust Developer Relations Engineer - Fluent Labs

About Fluent Fluent’s mission is to make programming for Ethereum as seamless as programming for the web.

To that end, we are building a permissionless, credibly neutral L2 blockchain on Ethereum that supports general-purpose smart contract execution with apps written in Solidity and traditional programming languages.

It will also provide settlement, proof aggregation and messaging between custom state machines. Fluent will be powered by the zkWasm VM (Fluent VM) and framework (Fluentbase), and will enable the creation of novel apps previously impractical using blockchain-based infrastructure.

Responsibilities Designing, coding, testing, and deploying Rust applicationsMaintaining and improving existing Rust codebasesCreating and delivering engaging technical content, such as blog posts, tutorials, webinars, and workshops, to help educate developersIdentifying and addressing developers' pain points, working closely with our engineering and DevRel team to improve our documentation, SDKs, and APIs Requirements Proficiency in Rust is essentialFamiliarity with other programming languages and tools, including JavaScript, TypeScript, and Solidity1+ years experience as an open-source developer advocate, solutions engineer, Rust dev, or equivalent roleExperience developing content for blogs, presentations, demos, talks, and tutorials for technical audiencesExperience managing an open-source project, including triaging issues, and maintaining high-quality documentationStrong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical conceptsPortfolio displaying experience with builds/devtooling on rust, tutorials/guides, etc.
