Job Description
About the position Greenbone is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join their Product Development team. This role is 100% remote within Eastern Europe and is offered via Remote.com.
The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the high quality, functionality, and reliability of Greenbone's open-source vulnerability analysis and management solutions through automated testing.
The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end and integration tests, analyzing test results, collaborating with developers to resolve issues, identifying test coverage gaps, and promoting a culture of quality awareness.
The role requires close collaboration with developers and product managers to align testing with business and product requirements.
Responsibilities Design, develop, automate, and maintain end-to-end and integration tests for software products, including cross-team workflows.Analyze, review, and document test results, and collaborate closely with developers to resolve identified issues before new features and releases are finally tested by the QM-team.Identify gaps in existing test coverage and prioritize the development of additional test cases.Work closely with developers and product managers to ensure testing aligns with business and product requirements.Promote and strengthen a culture of quality awareness within the team.Requirements Degree or completed vocational training in IT or a comparable qualification, with professional experience in software testing or test automation.Strong experience with at least one of our preferred automation tools (Playwright or Cypress).Overall 3+ years of experience in test automation.Experience with API and Integration testing.Solid understanding of software testing principles (e.g.
