Requirements
- We require extensive experience in a senior leadership role in policing.
- We require experience developing and executing strategic plans that deliver measurable results.
- We require a proven track record in customer success, stakeholder engagement, and partnership management.
- We require significant experience leading and assuring large-scale transformation initiatives.
- We require knowledge of digital transformation and data-driven decision-making.
- We require experience delivering digital transformational change.
- We require eligibility to undergo NPPV3 and SC vetting clearances, with NPPV3 clearance completed before starting.
- We prefer experience working with national policing bodies and/or multi-force collaborations, such as NPCC portfolios, regional collaborations, or the Home Office.
- We prefer commercial and supplier management experience, including developing requirements, shaping procurements, and managing third-party delivery.
- We prefer understanding of information management, data standards, and interoperability challenges in policing and law enforcement.
Responsibilities
- We will shape and lead our strategic engagement with police forces and national stakeholders to deliver sustainable, customer-centred digital transformation across UK policing.
- We will remain responsive to supporting on-demand projects, programmes, and initiatives across the policing DDAT landscape for both local and national policing.
- We will build relationships and credibility with senior leadership, stakeholders, and elected members, while effectively communicating and managing expectations.
- We will act as ambassadors and representatives for Police Digital Service on deployments and exercises.
- We will serve as an overall escalation point for complex customer issues and ensure they are resolved effectively.
- We will identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes and support local, regional, and national capabilities through tailored solutions.
- We will enhance customer satisfaction and accelerate value realisation.

We aim to be the go-to partner for technology developments and programmes across UK policing, providing technical advice and delivering services that help policing and law enforcement organisations prioritise technology efforts and make better use of public money. This is a fixed-term Strategic Policing Partner role for 6 to 12 months, starting at £100k per annum pro rata, and it is a remote position with occasional national travel for meetings.
