Lead Full Stack Engineer (Java/Vue.js)

Salary: £80,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering
• Proven track record of leading technical initiatives
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Expertise in Vue.js and modern frontend development
• Strong backend experience in Java and Spring Boot ecosystem (including Data, Security, and MVC)
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, SQL/database design
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and AWS
• Security-first mindset; background in cybersecurity is a significant advantage

Responsibilities

• Act as the bridge between our Java/Spring backend and Vue.js frontend
• Take ownership of feature development from concept through to delivery
• Lead the design and delivery of new features
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability across the stack
• Translate high-level requirements into clear technical solutions
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams
• Mentor junior engineers and elevate the overall technical capability of the team
• Maintain architectural consistency and drive best practices across the engineering team
