Job Description
Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year
Requirements
- Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML.
- Experience and a full understanding of Systems Engineering, the V-model and associated processes/lifecycles.
- A degree in STEM or a similar subject, or demonstrable engineering experience supported by appropriate qualifications.
- Chartered Engineer status, or progress toward Chartered status with an appropriate institute.
- Currently SC cleared or able to meet SC requirements.
- Experience in highly regulated industries such as Defence, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, or Nuclear.
- Experience in writing and formally reviewing high-quality technical documentation.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering practices, methodologies, processes, techniques, and technology trends such as SEBoK, INCOSE practices, NASA System Engineering, and DOORS.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously when required.
- Strong sense of commitment, willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven team environment.
- Preferred skills include team management and leadership, project management, criticality awareness, radiation awareness, HAZOP knowledge, nuclear site operations, nuclear decommissioning, nuclear new build, and nuclear safety cases.
Responsibilities
- Identify all systems, sub-systems, and components (SSCs) and define interfaces and relationships between them.
- Facilitate optimisation of system performance through requirements analysis and design.
- Identify and mitigate risk through modelling system behaviour.
- Interface with client technical and non-technical teams, both remotely and directly on site.
- Author and review technical documentation and processes.
- Apply Systems Engineering best practices and approaches to grow the Systems Engineering capability within the engineering team.
- Work independently and as part of a team, liaising with engineers from different disciplines to ensure a complete and unified design.
