Requirements

  • We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual with excellent technical and client-facing skills.
  • We need experience in solution architecture and design for Security Operations Centre solutions across services, people, policy and process, technology, and physical infrastructure layers.
  • We require knowledge and experience of designing, building, and deploying SOC technology, including at least two of SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Vulnerability Management, or Threat Intelligence.
  • We need a good understanding of industry best practice in Security Operations for services, people, policy and process, technology, and physical layers.
  • We expect knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, common threats, and mitigation techniques.
  • We require proficiency in risk assessment and vulnerability management.
  • We need knowledge of on-premises architectures and design, including security controls, detection tools, networking, and secure network architectures.
  • We expect understanding of security best practices such as least privilege and encryption.
  • We need understanding of how to design scalable and resilient architectures.
  • We want someone able to define and understand requirements that may not have been seen before, and research and test potential solutions.
  • A recognised cybersecurity certification, for example CISSP, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman, and modelling, is required.
  • We need good knowledge and experience of common enterprise ICT services.
  • We require experience working with government systems and senior stakeholders.
  • We need experience working across a variety of delivery styles, such as agile, lean, iterative/incremental, and waterfall.
  • We are looking for experience leading small engineering and client-side consultancy teams.
  • We need the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and lead projects.
  • We want a team player who is adept at working in multi-disciplinary and diverse teams.
  • We need the ability to work collaboratively to support and mentor the team.
  • We expect self-awareness and understanding of your own strengths and weaknesses.

Responsibilities

  • We lead, architect, and design Security Operations Centre solutions delivered to our customers.
  • We engage with client stakeholders to understand and define security requirements, including accreditation requirements.
  • We lead the security aspects of the architecture and design for SOC solutions across service, people, process, technology, and physical layers.
  • We provide input to CONOPS, high-level designs, low-level designs, and deployment-level designs.
  • We provide engineering leadership and management for security Operations Centre solutions through all stages of the engineering lifecycle, from concept through requirements definition, design and build, to transition into service operation.
  • We hold overall responsibility for delivery of solution security aspects and ensure designs meet key functional and non-functional security requirements.
  • We contribute to the development of solution architectures in collaboration with other design team members.
  • We support the design of security tools such as Splunk and Sentinel SIEM, Nessus Vulnerability Management, and Microsoft XDR.
  • We leverage our experience, IP, and expertise with support from product and subject matter experts to deliver secure solutions.
  • We work as part of the team and pass design concepts to other team members.
  • We collaborate to help support and mentor the team.
