Requirements
- Understanding of one or more structured data formats such as JSON, XML, relational databases, spreadsheets, etc.
- Familiarity with data formats, schemas, and data standards
- Ability to assess datasets against a standard and advise on data quality improvements
- Skill in delivering high-quality technical analysis, linking technical details with subject matter expertise
- Proficiency in data analysis, cleanup, or visualization using Python, R, SQL or other technologies
- Experience in a technical support role with customer support software
- Capability to work directly with clients and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for data-related processes
- Strong collaborative skills with team members to ensure timely and high-quality issue responses
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present complex technical information clearly
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritize workload effectively
Responsibilities
- Contribute towards the smooth running of the IATI Support Service
- Process the registration of new reporting organisations to the IATI Standard
- Triage new requests as they come into IATI Support
- Maintain existing data analysis products written in Python and SQL
- Develop and present your own data analysis products in collaboration with colleagues
- Learn and understand the IATI Standard to advise reporting organisations and data users
- Familiarize yourself with data publication tools for reporting organisations and give advice on their use
- Learn the tools available for data users and provide guidance on their application
- Identify bugs in IATI-supported software tools and report these to our development team
- Write clear, user-focused documentation where gaps are identified or when software products are created or updated
