Salary: £33,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements

• Significant commercial experience with AWS, including CDK, serverless Lambda, S3, API Gateway, and CloudFormation
• Significant commercial experience with TypeScript or modern JavaScript
• Significant demonstrable commercial experience building high-quality software collaboratively
• Experience working with business stakeholders to understand context and focus on delivering value
• Experience designing and implementing solutions using service-based and serverless architecture
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills
• Experience working in Agile delivery models such as Scrum and/or Kanban
• Experience developing within GDS or Digital First or similar quality standards
• Experience with cloud monitoring, telemetry, intelligence tools, and processes
• Experience using formal XP engineering techniques, including pair programming and test-driven development
• Experience defining infrastructure as code
• Willingness to hold or apply for a valid standard Disclosure Scotland
• Desirable: human-centred, research-driven, inclusive design practices
• Desirable: experience with testing tools and frameworks such as Cypress
• Desirable: experience using UI pattern libraries to achieve consistent, tested, and high-quality interfaces

Responsibilities

We are a public sector organisation seeking a Developer for an initial 12-month assignment. The role is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to our Edinburgh office when required. This is an outside IR35 contract at a day rate of circa 455. We are modernising our finance systems and building new serverless microservices on AWS, and we are looking for someone who enjoys collaborative delivery and working to high-quality digital standards.
