Summary We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Quote & Underwrite Engineering team within a global market-leading insurance technology organization.
In this role, you will design, build, and execute automated tests for complex product enhancements while influencing key development decisions.
You will operate within an Agile Scrum environment, collaborating closely with developers and product owners to deliver superior cloud-based insurance solutions at an enterprise scale.
EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field. Professional Experience5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with deep exposure to the full SDLC.
Proven experience testing AWS serverless architectures at an enterprise scale. Strong background in Agile methodologies (SAFe or similar frameworks). Demonstrated experience leading test automation initiatives and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities Test Strategy & Execution: Design and develop automated tests for new product features, covering functional, compatibility, performance, and API layers. Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
Architecture Collaboration: Work with development teams to improve code testability and influence system design for better performance, scalability, and security. Advanced Testing: Create and maintain specifications for API, E2E, Performance (K6), and Security testing.
Data Management: Prepare complex datasets to validate logic, error handling, and intricate workflows. Reporting: Monitor and report on key quality metrics to ensure high-standard delivery. Required Technical SkillsLanguages: Expert proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and SQL.
Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with Playwright and K6. Cloud & DevOps: Deep understanding of AWS (Serverless), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions. Databases: Experience with Aurora PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
Frameworks: Familiarity with React for front-end testing contexts. Software Principles: Solid understanding of OOP principles and design patterns to write clean, maintainable automation code. Nice to HavePrior experience within the Insurance domain.
Multi-platform experience across Linux, Unix, and Windows environments. Exposure to additional advanced Agile development practices. Soft SkillsAdvanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive willingness to learn new technologies. Strong communication and collaboration skills to build relationships with internal teams and partners. High level of autonomy and a commitment to technical excellence.
