Release Manager

Salary: £104,000 - 130,000 per year

Requirements

• Proven experience in environment and release management within Salesforce ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and release tools such as Copado, Gearset, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, or similar.
• Experience working with Salesforce, MuleSoft, and Heroku environments.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud deployments and containerisation technologies.
• Ability to work under the direction of a client delivery manager as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Willingness to follow established delivery processes and working practices.
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, UK Security Clearance at SC level, with eligibility for DV level where required.
• Must meet relevant residency requirements for security vetting.
• Experience in secure environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage development, test, training, and production environments to ensure consistency and reliability.
• Configure and optimise infrastructure to support efficient development and testing activities.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to resolve environment-related issues.
• Define and implement release management processes and governance.
• Plan and coordinate release schedules to minimise disruption and maximise system availability.
• Work with development teams to automate deployments and enable CI/CD pipelines.
• Champion DevOps practices and foster collaboration between development and operations teams.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Copado, Bitbucket Pipelines, or similar.
• Monitor and optimise system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Enforce best practices in version control, code quality, and security.
• Support cloud deployments across Salesforce, MuleSoft, and Heroku environments.
• Act as a liaison between development, QA, and operations teams.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and manage expectations around releases.
• Provide regular updates on release status, environment health, and performance metrics.
• Stay up to date with industry trends in DevOps, Salesforce, and release management.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes and system reliability.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning.

We are recruiting a Release Manager for a remote temporary contract lasting 1 to 3 months, initially to provide cover while we recruit permanently. This is an inside IR35 role with a day rate circa £450. We operate within a secure project environment, so the successful candidate must be eligible for UK Security Vetting at SC level, with clearance sponsorship provided where required and residency requirements applying. You will join a multi-disciplinary team and work in line with our established delivery processes and working practices.
