Senior C# .NET Developer

Salary: £45,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements

• We require at least 7 years of commercial software development experience.
• We require strong experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• We require experience building and maintaining business-critical, data-driven applications.
• We require experience developing web APIs, integrations or service-based applications.
• We require experience working with databases and data models.
• We require experience debugging, troubleshooting and improving existing systems.
• We require the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• We require an understanding of how individual changes affect a wider software system.
• We require consideration of security, data protection, access control and operational risk.
• We require experience working with source control and modern development workflows.
• We require experience taking ownership of technical decisions and delivery.
• We require experience with Angular or modern frontend web application development.
• We require a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.

Responsibilities

• We build and maintain large, data-driven applications using C# and .NET.
• We develop APIs, integrations and backend services.
• We work with databases, data models and client workflows.
• We improve existing systems for performance, reliability and maintainability.
• We debug, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• We take ownership of technical work from design through to delivery.
• We review code for correctness, maintainability, security and architectural fit.
• We work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to understand problems and deliver useful software.
• We help shape technical direction, architecture and development practices.
• We support and mentor other developers where appropriate.
• We contribute to AI-enabled features and integrations where they support wider client applications.

Our role is remote-first with weekly in-person collaboration at our Derbyshire office, and we offer a full-time permanent position on a compressed 4-day working week.
