Remote PLC Software Engineer

Salary: £36,000 - 76,000 per year

Requirements

• Qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Minimum 3 years experience in PLC programming
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience in the water or wastewater sector
• Familiarity with electrical control panels and process automation
• Experience with automation and process control equipment

Responsibilities

• Program and develop PLC software, with experience in Schneider, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens, or Omron being desirable
• Design and implement logic and flow diagrams for system automation
• Troubleshoot, test, and commission PLC systems both off-site and on-site
• Support the configuration and commissioning of automation and control devices
• Modify existing programs to meet client or site specifications
• Provide technical support to field teams and help improve automation processes
• Participate in the on-site commissioning of electrical and electronic systems

This is a remote role based in East/Central England with travel across the UK and Northern Ireland, and the salary is up to £55,000 depending on experience. We also provide a company van and fuel card, laptop and mobile phone, private medical insurance, death in service cover at three times annual salary, and corporate events.
