Job Description
Salary: £35,000 - 35,000 per year
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure and systems administration
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, both on-premises and cloud environments
- Experience with virtualization technologies, specifically Hyper-V and VMware
- Familiarity with backup solutions such as Veeam, Datto, or Acronis
- Understanding of domain hosting and platform management (cPanel/Plesk)
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 portal administration, including user provisioning, security, and licensing
- Strong grasp of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive functionalities
- Experience with endpoint management solutions like Intune
- Background in telephony and unified communications systems
- Extensive knowledge of networking principles including VLANs, routing, and firewalling
- Proficiency in business connectivity services like FTTC, FTTP, leased lines, and SIP circuits
- Experience with MSP tooling, RMM platforms, and security solutions
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly
Responsibilities
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex IT, telecoms, cloud, and network issues
- Oversee maintenance tasks, including RMM dashboards, patching, AV, alerts, automation, and compliance
- Ensure best practices for configuration, security, and lifecycle management of all client systems
- Standardise processes, technical documentation, and engineering workflows
- Deliver and manage IT and telephony projects such as Microsoft 365 migrations and modern workplace setups
- Manage project scopes, timelines, resources, and successful completion of deliverables
- Attend client meetings and provide senior technical guidance
- Support account management with service improvement and solution recommendations
- Assist with vendor management, procurement, and license renewals
- Promote cybersecurity best practices and ensure compliance across the team
- Continuously assess and refine service quality, delivery, SLAs, and internal processes
