Technical Service Specialist

Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
• Bachelors or Engineering degree in medical, electrical, mechanical, or medical technology preferred
• Proven track record in a similar engineering position
• Successful engagement with customers
• Excellent experience and process skills in service delivery
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues
• Coaching and training skills

Responsibilities

• Provide first line and second line service to our Abbott Ambassadors, covering service interventions requiring less than 4 hours of labour time
• Provide level two service for complex service interventions requiring more than 4 hours of labour
• Schedule and perform planned maintenance activities
• Perform new customer and laboratory site inspections for new contract or tender preparations and for new installation design
• Conduct and assist with installation of instruments, AbbottLink, automation, and de-installations
• Perform IQOQ procedures during and after installation
• Assist with customer business reviews
• Schedule, perform, and document hardware and software updates requiring more than 2 hours of labour time
• Deliver basic customer operator introductory training post-install or after hardware or software upgrades
• Provide basic technical coaching and training to other Technical Service Specialists
