Software Developer

Salary: £45,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements

• We need 2–4 years of software development experience, or we welcome a strong recent graduate.
• We need working proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; React experience is a plus.
• We need comfort with SQL, JSON, and REST APIs.
• We need a background in software or computer science, or in automation/engineering with solid hands-on coding skills.
• It is desirable that you have manufacturing or industrial experience, ideally with exposure to OPC UA, MQTT, or Modbus.
• It is desirable that you have experience with time-series data and connectivity, including drivers and middleware such as KEPServerEX.
• It is desirable that you have experience building dashboards or data visualisations.

Responsibilities

• We build end-user applications in React on our Industrial Data-Ops platform.
• We build and maintain data pipelines in Python and SQL, ingesting, transforming, and contextualising industrial data.
• We help design, build, and maintain the industrial knowledge graph that our applications run on.
• We support wider IIoT project delivery, from data ingestion and technical documentation to writing custom drivers and testing hardware.
• We support colleagues delivering projects on customer sites, helping remotely with data connectivity, drivers, and troubleshooting.
