Requirements

• Experience leading SAP support or service delivery in a smaller SME or public sector environment
• Strong hands-on SAP support knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues and engage credibly with technical teams and suppliers
• Experience supporting a legacy SAP environment and maintaining platform stability
• Strong stakeholder management skills in high-urgency environments with direct communication styles
• Proven ability to improve service outcomes through communication, expectation management, and service discipline
• Experience managing suppliers, service reviews, escalations, KPIs, or contract delivery
• Relevant SAP technical background in one or more of the following: Finance (FI/CO), Procurement (MM / SD-MM), or general SAP administration/support such as BASIS, security, access, or transports

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day SAP service delivery
• Keep the SAP platform stable, supported, and well managed
• Provide technical oversight and calm expectation management across stakeholders
• Oversee incident and problem management
• Manage vendor performance and the support contract
• Coordinate delivery between the internal support team and third-party support partner
• Engage proactively with senior stakeholders and provide clear updates
• Interrogate issues within the system and help guide the right fixes
• Support relationship-building and maintain stakeholder satisfaction
• Ensure service quality and effective BAU SAP support leadership

We are supporting a public sector organisation in the search for an experienced SAP Manager to lead day-to-day SAP service delivery on an initial 3-6 month contract with likely extensions over a 12-month period. This is a mostly remote role with on-site attendance expected approximately once per month. You will work with senior stakeholders, a small internal support team, and a third-party support partner to keep a legacy SAP environment stable, well supported, and effectively managed.
