Test Automation Lead

Salary: £39,000 - 79,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong Quality Engineering and Test Automation background.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright + TypeScript (preferred), Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with keyword-driven, data-driven, hybrid, and BDD frameworks.
• Experience integrating automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead automation teams.
• Candidates should have VS Code, Node.js, and Playwright installed and configured on their laptop and be able to write and execute automation code during interview rounds.
• Strong preference for candidates with Playwright experience.
• Candidates with other automation tool expertise must be willing to learn Playwright.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA and automation initiatives across Agile teams.
• Partner with Product Owners, Developers, and Scrum teams to define QA strategy and roadmap.
• Drive automation framework development, standards, and best practices.
• Prioritize QA activities, remove blockers, provide status updates, and maintain QA documentation.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor QA team members and provide automation leadership.
