Salary: £41,000 - 81,000 per year

Requirements

• Proven commercial experience working as a Java Developer within the public sector.
• Active SC and NPPV3 clearance.
• Senior-level expertise in either Java/Spring (Boot, Data JPA, Security) or JavaScript/TypeScript with React, with mid-level experience acceptable in the other.
• Proven experience delivering high-quality, cross-functional solutions using microservices and micro-frontend architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL and web applications.
• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring best practices, Docker, Git, cloud platforms, Jenkins, Nginx, and similar tools.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to travel to various sites for training and knowledge transfer.
• Technical leadership experience, including identifying delivery inefficiencies, escalating issues, and driving value, is desirable.

• Develop and deliver Java-based solutions for a public sector client.

• Apply Java and Spring best practices alongside supporting tools and platforms such as Docker, Git, Jenkins, Nginx, and cloud services.
• Use Oracle PL/SQL and web application knowledge to support delivery.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
• Travel to various sites for training and knowledge transfer when required.
• Identify delivery inefficiencies, escalate issues, and help drive value where possible.
