Job Description
UI Designer Fully Remote Duration: approx 2-3 weeks, part-time hours Rate: $40-45/hr. Our professional services client is looking for a UI Designer to lead the design of an interactive, data-driven application.
This project will be used across web and conference environments, requiring a strong balance of clarity, usability, and visual polish. The UI designer will be responsible for translating complex, multi-layered city data into an intuitive and engaging user experience.
This includes designing map-based interactions, comparison modes, and data-rich interfaces that are easy to navigate and visually compelling.
Key Responsibilities: - Design high-fidelity screens and user flows for an interactive web application. - Translate complex datasets into clear, intuitive UI patterns (e.g. comparisons, multi-level data, map interactions). - Design for both desktop/web and large touchscreen conference environments. - Establish and apply a consistent design system across the application. - Define interaction patterns and provide guidance on motion/animation where needed. - Collaborate with web developer to ensure designs are feasible and implemented accurately.
Key Skills: - Strong UI design experience for web-based products or applications. - Experience working on conference or event-based digital experiences is considered a strong asset. - Motion design sensibility will be strongly considered. - Proven ability to design data-heavy or information-rich interfaces. - Experience with map-based interfaces, dashboards, or comparison tools. - High level of proficiency with Figma (components, auto-layout, prototyping). - Ability to create clean, modern, and highly usable interfaces. - Strong understanding of responsive design and edge cases. - Experience designing for non-standard environments (e.g. touchscreens, kiosks, large displays).
