Senior Platform Engineer AWS

Salary: £56,000 - 96,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for a strong Platform Engineer with hands-on experience in building and operating AWS infrastructure.
• We need deep AWS knowledge and experience working across the full platform life cycle.
• We require Infrastructure as Code expertise, ideally with Terraform, Pulumi, or OpenTofu.
• We are looking for Python scripting skills.
• We need CI/CD experience, ideally with GitHub and CircleCI.
• We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
• It would be beneficial if you have a background in back-end or software engineering.
• It would be an advantage if you have experience scaling organisations.

Responsibilities

• We will expect you to build and operate AWS infrastructure.
• We will rely on you to lead cloud migrations and platform improvements.
• You will write and maintain Infrastructure as Code.
• You will improve monitoring and observability, including Datadog.
• You will develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• You will support engineers with deployments and new services.

We are a scale-up digital marketplace working in a lean, high-impact environment, and we are hiring a hands-on Senior Platform Engineer to join our growing team. You will work directly with the Head of Platforms to build and scale a modern AWS environment, owning infrastructure and solving real engineering problems across the platform. We offer a salary of £90k plus bonus, equity, and benefits. The role is remote within the UK, with quarterly meetups.
