DV Cleared 3rd Line Application Support Engineer

Salary: £117,000 - 130,000 per year

Requirements

• We require proven experience with SharePoint, including server management, permissions, and application integration.
• We require knowledge of VMWare Horizon View VDI and vSphere virtualization.
• We require strong scripting skills, particularly PowerShell.
• We require experience with Microsoft Server 2016/2022, Hyper-V, and Exchange 2016.
• We require familiarity with Group Policy management and Microsoft Skype Server.
• We require a broad technical skill set with the ability to adapt and specialise in key areas.
• We require dependability, problem ownership, and a proactive approach to support.
• We require experience working within secure, military, or government environments.
• We require a collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Relevant Microsoft, VMware, or security certifications are advantageous.
• We require a background supporting secure, mission-critical systems.
• We require candidates who are willing and eligible to go through the DV Clearance process.

Responsibilities

• We manage and resolve escalated incidents on complex, secure systems, often remotely from 2nd line teams.
• We deliver infrastructure development, testing upgrades, patches, and deploy new software solutions.
• We own problems and incidents, providing dependable support and effective solutions.
• We contribute to project work, especially where we have subject matter expertise in key technologies.
• We collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability and security.
• We support secure military systems and help maintain mission-critical service availability.

We are supporting secure military systems in Portsmouth on a contract running until 31/12/2026, with possible extension, at a rate of up to £500 per day via an approved umbrella company.
