Remote Senior Embedded Engineer (Mandarin Speaker)

Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

Requirements

• Extensive experience in modern C++
• High proficiency in Mandarin Chinese for communication with clients
• Deep experience developing, cross-compiling, and optimizing code for embedded Linux
• Knowledge of the Linux networking stack and routing protocols
• Experience with continuous integration as a user; setup experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of a scripting language such as Python
• High proficiency in verbal and written English
• Proactive, business-oriented problem-solving mindset
• Ability to break product requirements into multi-month projects and drive them to completion
• Ability to make decisions based on measurements and tests rather than assumptions
• Ability to work in a remote-first environment and collaborate across time zones

Responsibilities

• Participate in partner communications in English and/or Chinese
• Take part in technical discussions to identify efficient solutions
• Contribute code across a variety of projects
• Benchmark and optimize software performance
• Work with our Engineering Lead and Product Manager to promote new features to partners and prospects
• Ensure partner requests are answered and implemented to improve partner satisfaction
• Explore new opportunities and help create engineering initiatives that make our product offering more attractive or lead to new product concepts
