We are Genpax, an innovative startup aiming to revolutionise how bacteria and antimicrobial resistances are tracked. Our goal is to enable proactive infection control at early stages of outbreaks and in response to more dangerous strains by combining traditional and cutting-edge computational methodologies to improve the utility, scalability, and speed of genome sequencing information for near real-time diagnostic and infection control solutions. We are hiring for a Senior Frontend Engineer on a 3-month temporary contract with strong potential to become permanent. The role is fully remote within the UK, requires the right to work in the UK, and offers a salary of £60,000 - £90,000 per year depending on experience, plus 25 days holiday and UK public holidays. Our platform, IDEM, uses proprietary algorithms, processes hundreds of samples per hour, includes a browser-based interface for customers, and is supported by automated testing and CI/CD. Our current stack includes Python, TypeScript, React with Next.js, GraphQL, Docker, Postgres, Git, GitHub CI/CD, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and Nextflow. Prior genetics or bioinformatics experience is not required, and experience with all of our tools and technologies is not required.
