EHS / Quality Transformation Lead

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements

• We require proven experience in regulated industries such as EHS, Quality, Compliance, Risk, or Audit.
• We require a strong understanding of frameworks such as ISO standards, RIDDOR, GxP, or similar.
• We require demonstrated experience defining or owning standards, policies, or frameworks.
• We require experience making real-world regulatory or operational decisions, not purely advisory work.
• We require strong leadership experience, ideally managing or influencing cross-functional teams or domain experts.
• We require the ability to operate across multiple domains or business units, not just a narrow specialism.
• We require excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into structured guidance.
• We value curiosity and openness toward AI and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• We will define what correct looks like across regulated domains such as EHS, Quality, and Compliance.
• We will create taxonomies, classification frameworks, and annotation standards used to train AI models.
• We will design evaluation frameworks to ensure models are accurate, consistent, and trustworthy in real-world use.
• We will lead and mentor a team of Domain Subject Matter Experts across multiple disciplines.
• We will act as the domain authority, resolving ambiguity and ensuring consistency in decision-making.
• We will partner closely with product and AI engineering teams to translate domain knowledge into model behaviour.
• We will shape the regulatory corpus and knowledge base, determining what data is included and prioritised.
• We will support the development of AI-enabled products that operate in highly regulated environments.

We are a highly successful and growing software organisation undergoing a major AI-led transformation, with intelligent systems being embedded across our global product portfolio. This is a permanent, high-visibility role with a salary of up to £120,000 plus bonus and package. We offer a hybrid working model for Midlands-based candidates, with 2 to 3 days in the office, and remote contracts available for candidates outside of 35 miles. This is a rare opportunity to shape a new function and team from the ground up, working closely with senior leadership across product and AI while defining how AI systems make decisions in real-world, regulated environments.
