Requirements

• You must be based anywhere in the UK and able to work on UK time.
• You must have strong and reliable wifi, a professional environment, and adequate equipment and resources to deliver coaching effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead 1:1 and group coaching sessions via agreed virtual platforms.
• Commit to a minimum of one 1:1 session per week.
• Deliver sessions of 50 minutes plus 10 minutes for post-session feedback and administrative duties.
• Collaborate with us to develop workshops and group session content.
• Manage your own availability and organise sessions with coachees.
• Prepare thoroughly for coaching sessions based on coachees requested support.
• Communicate with coachees and our staff via the designated communication channel when needed.
• Provide detailed feedback on coachee progress and complete end-of-programme feedback forms.
• Represent us professionally and follow all company policies and Code of Conduct.
• Complete all required training materials and info sessions.

We are Code First Girls, and we are seeking experienced Java developers for a remote freelance technical coaching role supporting Software Engineers from our partner companies. This six-month programme runs from January 2026 to July 2026, with one or more hours per week depending on demand, and offers £60 per coaching session inclusive of prep and follow-up work.
