Product Manager

Salary: £50,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• Proven work experience in product management.
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
• Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
• Some technical leadership or project management experience with software development and/or testing.
• Solid technical background with understanding of or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to get involved and take a hands-on approach.
• Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Some knowledge of the IT security industry and software products would be beneficial.
• Must be based in the UK and able to travel to our Sussex office two days per week.

Responsibilities

• Gather customer requirements from Sales, Marketing, and Training teams.
• Define product roadmaps with engineering.
• Prioritize customer requirements to create winning products.
• Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify product gaps, and generate innovative ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth.
• Create buy-in for the product vision within internal engineering and business teams.
• Support Sales and Marketing with customers and key external partners.
• Support Sales and Marketing in developing product pricing and positioning strategies.
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
• Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
• Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time to market and optimal resources.
• Support product launches with the Sales and Marketing team.
• Help Sales and Marketing evaluate promotional plans to ensure they align with product line strategy.
• Act as a software product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.
