Senior Platform Engineer (Telephony Systems)

Salary: £95,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for a senior platform engineer with strong experience in Linux production systems or similar.
• We need hands-on experience with FreeSWITCH or other SIP-based systems.
• We require a solid understanding of SIP, networking, and real-time communications.
• We want confident troubleshooting skills using logs, tcpdump, and Wireshark.
• We are looking for scripting experience in Bash and one or more of Python, Perl, PHP, or similar.
• We need familiarity with relational databases.
• We want someone comfortable taking ownership in a small, fast-moving team.

Responsibilities

• We will have you own and develop our Linux-based telephony platform.
• We will have you design, build, and support real-time systems using FreeSWITCH.
• We will have you ensure our production systems are reliable, scalable, and performant.
• We will have you diagnose issues across application, system, and network layers.
• We will have you analyse logs, metrics, and packet captures.
• We will have you improve monitoring, observability, and automation.
• We will have you work closely with engineers integrating backend services and APIs.
