Salary: £40,000 - 40,000 per year
Requirements
- We are seeking an experienced Security Consultant.
- We require strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management and security best practice.
- We require expert knowledge across key and emerging security domains such as cloud security, infrastructure security, identity and access management and application security.
- We require experience working with recognised security frameworks and standards such as ISO27001, NIST 800-53 and CIS.
- We require excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- We require strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- We require the ability to be self-motivated, collaborative and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Recognised industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or comparable cybersecurity qualifications are desirable.
- All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
- Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role.
Responsibilities
- We provide security consulting and advisory services to support clients and internal stakeholders in managing cyber risk.
- We conduct security assessments, risk reviews and gap analysis to identify security weaknesses, develop mitigation strategies and implement security improvements.
- We contribute to the design and review of secure architectures, systems and technology solutions.
- We support the development and implementation of security policies, standards and governance frameworks.
- We communicate security risk and recommendations clearly through reports, presentations and stakeholder discussions.
- We facilitate workshops, risk reviews and security discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- We support assurance activities such as audits, compliance reviews and supplier or third-party risk assessments.
- We work closely with technical teams, business leaders and specialists within our organisation and client organisations to identify risks, design effective security solutions and support implementation of robust security strategies.
