AWS DevOps Engineer (Bioinformatics Sector)

Salary: £75,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements

• We require experience working in the Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Genomics or Biotech sector.
• We require around 5 years of AWS DevOps experience.
• We require a background supporting data-heavy or research-led environments.
• We require strong experience with AWS architecture and infrastructure as code.
• We require experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• We require experience with Docker and containerised workflows.
• We require Linux system administration experience.
• Experience building data pipelines and supporting analytics platforms would be beneficial.
• An appreciation for data governance and reproducibility or traceability would be beneficial.
• You must be UK based.
• You must be able to work from our Oxfordshire office at least 1 day per month.
• We are unable to offer visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• We will have you build the platform that enables our scientists to move faster while maintaining reliability and control.
• We will have you join a small, highly collaborative IT and data function.
• We will have you work closely with our bioinformaticians and scientists to design and build a scalable, secure and reproducible AWS platform.
• We will have you own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and workflow automation.
• We will have you enable complex data and bioinformatics pipelines to run reliably, repeatably and at scale.
• We will have you help shape our data strategy, governance and reproducibility standards as we grow.
• We will have you support our journey from discovery into later-stage clinical development.
