Field Service Engineer

Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for experience supporting technical systems in defence or secure environments.
• We are looking for a background in electronic warfare, RF systems, or similar technologies.
• We need a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and virtualisation.
• We require experience working with Windows and Linux environments.
• We need knowledge of LAN, WAN, VLAN networking, and firewalls.
• We are looking for the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and perform hardware diagnostics.
• We require awareness of working in highly regulated, safety-critical environments.
• A military background, such as signals, communications, or electronic warfare, would be desirable.
• Knowledge of cryptographic systems would be desirable.
• Experience with MoD environments and processes would be desirable.
• You must hold a full UK driving licence.
• You must be willing to travel on occasion.
• You must be eligible for DV clearance and be a UK national.

Responsibilities

• We will have you carry out on-site maintenance, upgrades, and repairs of complex systems.
• We will have you support customer environments during exercises, trials, and deployments.
• We will have you provide 1st and 2nd line remote support for technical issues.
• We will have you install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure, including Windows Server, virtualisation, and networks.
• We will have you diagnose faults and perform root cause analysis on hardware and systems.
• We will have you support system acceptance, testing, and training activities.
• We will have you participate in an on-call rota for urgent support requirements.
• We will have you work on advanced technical systems across secure and defence environments in the UK and internationally.
