Salary: £43,500 - 73,500 per year

Requirements

• We are seeking an experienced SAP Data Engineer or SAP Data Architect.
• We need deep expertise in SAP data structures.
• We need hands-on experience with ODP/CDC extraction.
• We need experience with SAP-native extraction frameworks such as ODP/ODQ, CDS Views, and SLT.
• We need experience designing Medallion-style architectures and data pipelines.
• We need experience with cloud data lake or lakehouse platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• We need experience building scalable ingestion pipelines using Delta Lake or Parquet.
• We need familiarity with modern orchestration tools such as ADF, dbx, or Airflow.
• We need experience implementing CI/CD and DevOps practices for data pipelines.
• We need strong collaboration skills for working with SAP functional teams.
• We need the ability to assess and remediate existing implementations and remove blockers.
• We need experience defining SAP data model strategy and prioritising modules such as FI, CO, MM, SD, and PP.
• We need experience ensuring governance, lineage, monitoring, and production readiness.
• We need the ability to work to a hard deadline and deliver under pressure.

Responsibilities

• We will lead SAP data extraction using ODP/ODQ, CDS Views, SLT, or equivalent SAP-native frameworks.
• We will design and implement Medallion-aligned data pipelines in our cloud data lake or lakehouse.
• We will assess and remediate the current third-party implementation, identify blockers, and accelerate delivery.
• We will define the SAP data model strategy and prioritise the modules required for December cutover.
• We will build scalable ingestion pipelines using Delta Lake, Parquet, and modern orchestration tools.
• We will collaborate with SAP functional teams to validate business logic, deltas, and data quality.
• We will implement CI/CD and DevOps practices for data pipelines.
• We will ensure governance, lineage, and monitoring are in place for production readiness.
• We will support the transition to a managed service after migration is complete.
