DevOps Consultant

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong DevOps experience in production environments
• Expertise in Docker & containerised deployments
• Proven GitLab CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Experience with PHP applications in containerised environments
• Solid Linux & networking knowledge (TLS, reverse proxies, etc.)
• Familiarity with monitoring & logging tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana)
• Understanding of security best practices & vulnerability scanning

Responsibilities

• Assess and improve DevOps architecture and workflows
• Design & implement CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
• Containerise services using Docker & Docker Compose
• Enhance deployment, release, and automation processes
• Implement monitoring, observability, and alerting
• Strengthen security (scanning, vulnerabilities, secrets management)
• Optimise infrastructure for performance, scalability, and resilience
