Responsibilities Lead engineering teams to design and deliver secure, scalable healthcare technology solutions leveraging cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and AI/ML capabilitiesDefine and execute engineering strategy aligned with UHG/Optum business goals, focusing on improving patient outcomes, cost efficiency, and regulatory complianceOversee architecture and modernization of platforms, including cloud-native, data, and AI-driven solutions for healthcare analytics and operationsEnsure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and enterprise security standards across all engineering initiativesDrive adoption of AI/ML, automation, and data engineering practices to enhance decision-making and operational efficiencyCollaborate with product, clinical, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative, value-driven healthcare solutionsBuild and mentor high-performing, diverse teams while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learningEstablish governance, KPIs, and engineering excellence practices to ensure reliable, high-quality delivery at scaleRequirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field12+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in leadership roles, preferably in healthcare or regulated industriesSolid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including cloud-native architecture and modernizationProven experience in implementing AI/ML solutions, Knowledge of card based payements, or advanced analytics in enterprise environmentsExperience managing onshore-offshore teams and working with cross-functional stakeholders (business, clinical, product)Deep understanding of healthcare data, compliance (HIPAA), and security standardsDemonstrated success in leading large-scale, complex technology programs in an enterprise settingProven solid leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills with a focus on innovation and measurable outcomesAll employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter PolicyBenefits comprehensive benefits packageincentive and recognition programsequity stock purchase401k contribution
