Job Description

Salary: £29,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements

  • We require a minimum qualification at HNC level in an IT discipline.
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with relevant experience in IT support or ICT services.
  • We expect the ability to work as part of a dedicated and professional team.
  • We require the ability to work in partnership with colleagues across and beyond the service.
  • We expect willingness to attend in person in Lochgilphead or Helensburgh on a periodic basis.
  • We require the ability to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Argyll and Bute and beyond as needed.
  • We are looking for someone who can support large Council systems and contribute to ICT projects involving new or replacement technologies.

Responsibilities

  • We support the operation of existing large Council systems.
  • We provide technical assistance on projects that require ICT expertise.
  • We help introduce new or replacement systems and technologies.
  • We support Senior IT Engineers and the IT Officer in delivering high-quality ICT services.
  • We work with colleagues to meet the teams service objectives and plans.
  • We collaborate across the service and with other teams as needed.
  • We contribute to efficient and effective ICT support for the Council.

Our IT Applications team is part of our Customer Support Services - ICT service, and this is a permanent hybrid post working 35 hours per week. Most of the role can be carried out remotely, but periodic in-person attendance in Lochgilphead or Helensburgh is required.
