Senior Software Developer

Salary: £29,000 - 69,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for a senior engineer with solid professional experience who is comfortable working across the stack.
• We need strong TypeScript and React/Next.js experience.
• We need a good understanding of how modern web applications are built, including rendering strategies, APIs, and data layers.
• We value a strong focus on clean code, testing, and building things the right way, while also being pragmatic about shipping.
• We need someone who communicates well and works collaboratively with product, design, and engineering colleagues.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS is required for the core stack.
• Experience with modern tooling across testing, CI/CD, and observability is important.
• Experience with Supabase, Tailwind, or state management libraries would be useful but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• We will expect you to build new features across our Next.js and React platform, including workflow tools and real-time functionality.
• We will need you to develop API routes and server-side logic.
• We will rely on you to design and work with PostgreSQL databases.
• You will create clean, responsive user interfaces using modern component libraries.
• You will write and improve unit tests and contribute to overall code quality.
• You will work closely with product and design to ship features iteratively.
• You will contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction.
• You will help us embrace AI in the development process by using tools such as Copilot or similar solutions.

We are developing a conversational, AI-driven product and offer a hands-on senior role with real influence over how things are built. The role is hybrid, with two days per week onsite in our Grantham office and the rest remote. The salary is £70,000 depending on experience, plus benefits.
