Network Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in network administration or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, load balancers, and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with cloud networking in AWS.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills, communication skills, and a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain network hardware, software, and connections to ensure optimal performance.
• Configure and deploy switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers in line with architecture standards.
• Work with architects, security, and cloud teams to implement integrated, secure, and scalable solutions.
• Identify and resolve network bottlenecks, enhance efficiency, and ensure high availability.
• Maintain detailed network diagrams, runbooks, and configuration standards.
• Support enforcement of security protocols, patch management, and compliance with global frameworks.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to network design and operations.
