Level 1 Help Desk Engineer

Salary: £25,000 - 28,000 per year

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in an IT support or help desk role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Windows 11.
• Good understanding of Microsoft 365.
• Good understanding of basic networking concepts.
• Good understanding of hardware installation and support.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Comfortable travelling to client sites when required.
• Experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) is desirable.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration is desirable.
• Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.) are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support via phone, email, and remote support tools.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 issues.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when necessary.
• Install and configure laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and other hardware.
• Carry out onsite support visits to client locations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ticket updates.
• Deliver excellent customer service and keep clients informed throughout the support process.
• Assist with workstation deployments, upgrades, and IT projects.
