AWS DevOps Engineer

Salary: £130,000 - 130,000 per year

Requirements

• We require active SC clearance.
• We need strong AWS cloud engineering experience.
• We need hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• We need experience with configuration management tooling such as Ansible.
• We need experience with CI/CD tooling including Jenkins, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps.
• We need scripting and automation experience using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• We need experience with containerised solutions and Docker.
• We need Linux administration experience, ideally with RedHat.
• We strongly prefer experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS/ECR, Lambda, IAM, RDS, Route53, and VPC.
• We strongly prefer experience with monitoring and logging using CloudWatch.
• We strongly prefer experience with Git workflows and branching strategies.
• We strongly prefer exposure to networking, load balancing, and NGINX.
• We strongly prefer knowledge of security, IAM, and secrets management practices.
• We strongly prefer Atlassian tooling experience, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

Responsibilities

• We design and manage secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
• We build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
• We develop and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related tooling.
• We support containerised environments using Docker and ECS/EKS technologies.
• We implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• We support backup, disaster recovery, and security best practices.
• We work closely with Agile teams across engineering, testing, and security.
• We troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
• We operate within a SAFe Agile SecDevOps environment.
• We contribute to secure cloud infrastructure, automation, and continuous delivery.
